My husband and I can relate to this story. We have a credit score of 780, own two homes outright with an equity position of conservatively 600K, we have a number of other paid for assets, large 401Ks, good reliable relatively bullet proof income, no debt.

I'm pretty sure at age 17 right after HS graduation, my bags were packed on the doorstep with a note attached, "Been nice knowing you..." Seriously though, as a "me do" kind of child in a large family I did have those bags packed myself and was out of the nest within a month of leaving high school.

Troubling. Probably information best kept in the confines of the family and a therapist's office rather than a tell all book, but that's just my opinion. That woman's life has been sad and wasted for the most part. Let's hope she finds her way.
